You know the one.

Every office has that person. The one who quietly sets the bar higher. The one you can count on for a solid answer, a good laugh, or just a steady presence on a hectic day. At Banning Engineering, we’ve been lucky to have more than a few people like that.

And we recently said goodbye to one of those people.

Not forever. But life has a way of moving us in new directions, and this was one of those moments where the circumstances made sense… but that didn’t make it any easier.

Because at Banning, it’s never just about the work. It’s about the people. We take our projects seriously, but we take care of each other too. We celebrate wins together. We navigate challenges as a team. We show up, not just because we’re expected to, but because we want to.

This transition is a reminder that we’re doing something right. That Banning is the kind of place where relationships run deep, and where leaving is never just about walking out the door…it’s about saying goodbye to a group of people who’ve become like a second family.

And while one team member may be stepping into a new chapter, we’re excited about what comes next.

Every time someone new joins our team, they bring their own spark. Their own skills, stories, and sense of humor. And they quickly find that this is a place where they’re not just valued for what they do…but for who they are.

We’re proud of the culture we’ve built here. It’s why people stay. And it’s why, when someone does leave, the door is always open for them to return.

We wish our colleague nothing but the very best on this next chapter. We know it wasn’t an easy decision.

And while their desk might be empty now, we’re holding out hope that that familiar face will pop in again from time to time. Just to say hi, share a smile, and remind us…

Once you’re part of the Banning family, you’re always part of it.
