While Banning Engineering serves many municipal clients across Indiana, the firm got its start in residential and commercial site development. That was the service Jeff Banning knew he could deliver better, and at a fairer price, than what the market was offering at the time. Site development became the foundation the company was built on, and it remains central to who we are today.

Site Development Vice President Steve Brehob and his staff have not only carried that work forward, they have grown it. Our team and our client base have both expanded significantly. We continue to serve many local developers who have worked with us for years, and we have also become the engineering partner of choice for most of the large national home builders and developers active in this market.

For decades, Banning Engineering has provided services in Morgan, Hendricks, Marion, and Hamilton Counties. Today that footprint includes Delaware County, where we are working in and around Muncie. Geographic growth like this does not happen through marketing alone. It happens because clients trust our staff and the quality of our work enough to bring us with them into new territory.

Every development project has two sets of expectations to satisfy: the client’s, and the community’s. Developers need buildable lots and a realistic timeline. Municipalities need stormwater that works, streets that connect, and infrastructure that will hold up long after the last house sells. Our role is to design plans that meet both. Banning Engineering has been doing that work across Central Indiana for decades.

We are currently working on several very large developments in Hendricks County, another sign of the confidence clients place in our ability to deliver. These are high quality projects that will bring well planned, lasting communities to the county.

Our site development success does not stand alone. Banning Engineering relies on a highly qualified Survey Department to move these projects forward. Survey Vice President Jon Polson has assembled a high caliber team whose work supports nearly every phase of site development, from boundary and topographic surveys through final plats and construction staking.

As an employee-owned firm, everyone here has a direct stake in the outcome of that work. Our clients notice the difference.

If you know someone who would like to be part of a successful team, we are looking for a few more quality staff members.
