A lot of wandering this past month, trips to Orange, Tippecanoe, Warren, Kosciusko, and Vigo Counties.
Orange County - French Lick, West Baden, Orangeville Rise, and Lost River. An enjoyable drive on winding, curvy roads on a beautiful fall day. Take some time to stay at one of the stately hotels during your visit.
Tippecanoe and Warren County - Purdue University, Otterbein, Oxford, Pine Village, Independence. My favorite find was Cicott Park. It is a Warren County Park, and I was not expecting to discover this place. A nice hike, and it overlooks the Wabash River. There are many nature preserves to visit in the area as well.
Kosciusko County - Syracuse, Oakwood Resort, Lake Wawasee, Warsaw, Tri-County Fish & Wildlife Area, and my favorite, Leesburg. Wow, it’s so enjoyable to discover those places I don’t expect! Check out the brick streets and quaint homes in Leesburg.
Vigo County - Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, Wabashiki Fish & Wildlife Area, and West Terre Haute. Check out the campus of Saint Mary’s. What a gorgeous place, with many ornate and historic buildings and grounds that are worth the walk.
