Banning Engineering is pleased to announce the appointment of Joseph (Joe) Miller, P.E. as our next Chief Executive Officer, effective January 5, 2026.
Joe will succeed Jeffrey Banning, the firm’s founder, who will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board while also focusing on business development, client relations, and community engagement.
For more than twenty-one years, Joe has been an integral part of Banning Engineering’s growth and reputation. As Vice President of Water Resources and Municipal Services, he has led critical engineering initiatives, managed multidisciplinary teams, and served as a trusted representative to many of our municipal and utility clients. His leadership reflects the firm’s core values, technical excellence, integrity, partnership, and community stewardship.
Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Indiana. He and his family reside in Avon, Indiana, where Joe is an active member of his church and multiple community organizations.
As we look toward the future, Joe’s vision, commitment, and deep understanding of our clients’ needs will guide Banning Engineering through its next chapter of growth. We’re proud of the foundation built by Jeff and excited for all that lies ahead under Joe’s leadership.
