On May 15th, Banning Engineering had the pleasure of hosting a group of juniors and seniors from Cascade High School for a hands-on look at what civil engineering looks like in practice. Students worked through interactive sessions on planning and zoning, site design and drainage, and wrapped up with their own presentations, using real paper plots of a site near their school to sketch out layouts and explore design ideas. It was a fun and meaningful way to help these students consider engineering as a possible career path. A big thank you to Matt Miller and the entire Cascade High School team for all that they do, and for partnering with us to make experiences like this possible.
